Consultations with Sally were extremely helpful and valuable. Her trainings and presentations were theory driven where she eloquently explained the theoretical rationale of the interventions and how it fits with treating psychosis. It was really interesting to hear her thought process of how to really use some of the theories and conceptualization of CBTp in terms of working with psychotic symptoms. It helped me to get a better understanding of the theories and how to apply them

I was really struggling with a patient who had a hard time telling what is real or imaginary and often experienced multiple ideas of references. It was really hard for me to figure out how to work with the patient’s complex belief system that was often disorganized and scattered. Through my consultation with Sally, I was able to work within the patient’s belief system and tie it to their present life. I learned so much about the patient’s wishes, hopes, and sorrows. Based on how Sally coached me through that case, I was able to get a better understanding of what my patient really wanted in their life. I would not have been able to get there without Sally’s help.

The process of working with Sally was very organized and transparent. She was also very on top of things and it was really easy to work with her.

If somebody wants to get a really good understanding of how to take the theories of cognitive behavioral therapy with the psychosis lens and how to implement it in an accurate and timely way, Sally is probably the best I’ve worked with. I really enjoyed working with her.

I would recommend Sally to other clinicians. I find her to be very helpful and very knowledgeable. I think she’s very clear about how she presents information and conveys it in a way that makes it easy to understand. Usually when I speak with her, it gives me a lot of ideas and shapes the way I think about things, so I think it’s very beneficial.

CBTp Accreditation

All clinical coaching sessions count towards the consultation/supervision requirements for accreditation in CBTp ( as per the North American CBTp Network competence standards). In order to demonstrate competence as a Full CBTp therapist, trainees need to be able to score 40 or above on a nationally recognized cognitive therapy rating scale. As such it is highly recommended that all trainees undertake follow-up consultation, including audio review.
